Martin Ingram has notified the owner of this website that he is retiring from Northern Ireland journalistic investigations from this day forward. He completed his public evidence to Judge Smithwick yesterday and feels it is now time to withdraw from front line investigations into the past.
Ingram understandably now wants to concentrate his spare time upon the computer hacking debacle and to fully research/prepare for that civil action .This action is scheduled to be heard in the high court later this year (Dec 2012 ) against News International and others.
He sincerely thanks those who have helped him both in service and those outside to illuminate small areas of the dark past of Ireland.
He especially wishes well, those victims families who are currently engaged in a civil recovery action against the MOD/PSNI .
